OxZen Acres is a 6 acre Tibetan themed hobby farm nestled in the South Salem Hills of Oregon. The inspiration for the farm name comes from its small spoiled herd of Tibetan yak. The partnership with our yaks provides us with fiber to spin and fertilizer/manure. Future endeavors may include dairy products, riding, packing, and pulling. And yes, we only eat the naughty ones. One day we hope to periodically share some more of the bounty with customers and clients.

Our other resident Tibetans are Tibetan mastiffs, so if you are terrified of big dogs, or even the sound of big dogs singing the song of their people, then perhaps embracing your fabulous online experience with us would be best. We also have goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and geese.

Other characteristics and activities on the farm that tie in with the Tibetan theme are Tibetan monks as invited guests and speakers, cultural farm tours for the Portland Area Tibetan community, March 10th celebration, and donations to International Campaign for Tibet among others.

OxZen Acres is not a commercial farm. We periodically schedule small events, classes, workshops, and tours, and are a Harvest Host during part of the year. We also offer in person and online services, online information, blogs, and articles on a variety of topics related to self-sufficiency, animal husbandry, permaculture, gardening, Tibet and other topics.

The onsite farm stand provides very small quantities of high quality tea, fruits, nuts, and herbs, nick knacks and bric-a-brac, antiques, Tibetan products, farm animal themed merchandise specific to the farm, farm logo merchandise, chicken and duck eggs. Many but not all items are also available in the online store, so be sure to check it out!

We will be trying out a variety of things to see what is popular based on our customer and client feedback, as well as soliciting your input ahead of time via very brief surveys.Details on other services, events, animal sales, sponsorships/adoptions, and classes are listed under each tab.

Thank you for your support and patience while we develop these experiences for you.
